Finally - A Relaxed Sunday Brunch in Lima!
Fresh mango and berries, delicious Andean cheese , black olive mousse and other delightful local products
The last boxes are unpacked, paintings hanging on their
place ( hit myself on the thumb with a hammer as usual! :) ), phone and internet
are working and now it’s time to enjoy Peru.
We made a stop over at the
Barranco area, a charming place with old summer houses from the 19th
century, a beautiful sea view and a
bohemian flair.
It’s a place where many young
artists have settled down, full of small restaurants and bars and a colorful, tropical
vegetation.
A kind of “Buena Vista Social Club” making music in Barranco
The old church” La Eremita”, unfortunately with a roof that
is falling apart and some vultures living on top, but maintaining its vivid,
bright colors. A bit decadent, but still charming.
Beautiful entrance to one of the old houses
Hidden treasure: a small café that serves delicious, organic
only products.

With hugs and lots of love to you. Have a wonderful week ahead, regards.
Hi Amelia,
Deleteso happy you enjoyed the pictures of our new home country.
Don't worry about the "hammer accident", was just a silly thing that happens nearly always when we are moving, suppose I'm a bit clumsy :)
Hugs and all the best to you.
Beautiful place settings, Daniela, and I love the foods you've set out.

What a wonderful neighborhood! I love old doors.., so much character and detailed beauty. I have hit my hand numerous times using a hammer. You are not alone. I love your refreshing food and table settings!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy,
Deletethese old doors are definitely an eye catcher and I only hope that people preserve them because there is a real construction boom going on right now and many of the beautiful old houses are demolished.
Thank you for your kind feedback!
