Autumn Beauties

Creating a table decoration that is not overdone, related to the season and yet contemporary and bright is quite a challenge.
I like to get inspired by nature. On Sunday I took a  walk and found these beautiful leaves which were completely soaked after a heavy surprise rainfall, but still gorgeous. After drying them at home, they made a perfect centerpiece for an autumn dinner decoration. This would also make a perfect decoration for a thanksgiving dinner, simple yet elegant.
For this table decoration you need:
- 3  small flower vases
- a bunch of colorful autumn leaves
- 5 small glass candle holders
- 5 candles
- 1 box of natural, small deco stones or pebbles

Combining my “autumn beauties” with candles and natural deco stones,  they really brightened  our  fall dinner.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy this precious time with family and friends and let us be grateful for all the blessings received.

La Vie En Rose

This is a great way to extend the life of your your roses.  Easy and chic.

You need:
-8 to 12 roses
-A glass centerpiece, not to high as floating flowers are meant to be seen from above

Cut the stem of the rose with an all purpose scissors.

If roses have not quite opened, open them the delicately, rose blossoms float better than rose buds.

Cut the prettiest  green leaves from the stem.
With a jar  pour water into the glass center piece. Fill the container up to  2/3 with water.
Tipp: Add some drops of bleach to the water, so they water stays clear and the rose blossoms last longer. Be careful not to spill the bleach.
Arrange the rose blossoms and then the green leaves in the Glass center piece.
Voilá  -La Vie En Rose.
